MGM University is a self-financed State Private University in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) established under the MGM University, Aurangabad Act, 2019. The Act was published as Maharashtra Act No. XXVI of 2019. The university has also been granted UGC 2(f) status.

The university was established by the Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust, which has operated educational institutions in the region for more than four decades. 3. Admission Information

MGM University is currently accepting applications for the 2026–27 academic year across undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., diploma, PG diploma and certificate programmes.

The university conducts the MGMU-CET for applicable programmes, while programme-specific national or state-level entrance examinations may also be considered.

General Admission Process

1. Register on the MGM University admission portal.
2. Complete the online application form.
3. Upload the required academic and identity documents.
4. Submit qualifying examination / entrance examination details.
5. Appear for MGMU-CET where applicable.
6. Check the merit list on the student dashboard.
7. Complete document verification.
8. Pay the applicable programme fees.

The current 2026–27 application process specifies a ₹2,000 non-refundable application fee for domestic students applying through MGMU-CET. For Ph.D. admissions through MGMU-PET, the application fee is ₹5,000.

MGM University has also published the 2026 CET schedule: UG non-engineering – 2 September 2026; PG non-engineering – 3 September 2026; UG and PG engineering – 4 September 2026.
